Day 13 - The Ligth of Bethleem

Since I already had the patern for this type of card, I chose to do a layered card with a lot of lights. 

Day 12 - Journey to Bethleem

  Day 12 of the annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, on Beccy's place  - Letter K.

The inspirational words for this project are: Kris Kringle, kings, kiss, kraft, khaki, kangaroo, koala, kindling, kinetic cards

At first glance it may mislead you, but this stands for de prompt letter K -kinetic card.

It is not perfect, indeed, I have made some mistakes, but I am content for my first sliding card.

Day 6 - Four F

    Day 4 of the annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, on Beccy's place  - Letter F.

Day 11 - Joyfull Snowmen

 Day 11 of the annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, on Beccy's place  - Letter J.

The inspirational words for this project are: joy, jolly, Jesus, Jack Frost, jingle bells, Joyeux Noel, joy fold card, jade, jonquil, jungle green

For today I chose for my project: Joy and joy fold card.

Day 8 - Change colours; RiO(71)

     Day 8 of the annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, on Beccy's place  - First  non-alfabeth prompt.

This time, we don't have inspirational words, only one request : Create at least two cards with different colour arrangements.

Of course, I chose one of my favorite techniques: cut-out greeting cards. It was the perfect fit as I just received a new Chirstmas Tree template and, obviously, I had to use it. 

I am absolutely delighted of the combination of this two colours: green and metalic gold and I would use them on any ocasion. Firstly, I drew the tree's shape on the back of the golden cardboard, then I cut out every piece. With the help of the template, I glued the cut-out pieces on the green cardboard while the cut out golden carboard is glued on another green cardboard.

Day 4 - Die cutting and doodling

   Day 4 of the annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, on Beccy's place  - Letter D.

The inspirational words for this project are: December, decorations, Dasher, Dancer, Donder, Dutch-fold card, double diamond fold, diagonal tri-fold card, diamond glaze, die cutting, digital stamps, dimensional, dry embossing, distress ink, dark blue, deep red, doodling

On this occasion I discovered the doodling technique that I unknowingly been practicing for a long time, without being able to say that I have achieved somthing beautiful. But I always had the habit of scribbling various line on the paper while I was paying atention to something else. 

I started my project by choosing a darkblue cardboard for a diagonal trifold card, again, following a tutorial by Beccy. The model she presented inspireded me to use the doodling tehnique. I am not too pround of my doodling, but it works. I completed the card with four shapes cut out with a die cutting machine.

Day 3 - Candy Cane and Christmas tree

  Day 3 of the annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, on Beccy's place  - Letter C.

The inspirational words for this project are: Christmas, Christ, Christmas tree, candy canes, chocolate, cardinal, candles, centre-step card, circle card, concertina fold card, canvas, chalk, chipboard, colouring, clear, Copic, crayon, crochet, celadon, cerise, charcoal, copper, cream, crimson, cyan.

This time, the inspirational words I chose for my project were : Christmas tree, candy canes and centre-step card. Of couse, the card follows another Beccy`s tutorial.

It was very easy to make the base of the card, I only had to pay atention to the measurements. After that, I decorated with stickers from a chindren's book and candies made with the hole punch.

Day 2 - B - Birds and bells card

 Day 2 of the annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, on Beccy's place  - Letter B.

The inspirational words for this project are: Blitzen, boots, bows, box cards, bendy cards, building block cards, bleaching, beads, brads, burnishing, blue, brown, black, baubles

For this particular project I have followed yet another one of  Beecy`s tutorial. This time I chose a building block card, decorated with birds and bells stamps. Those on the front of the card are layered.

Day 1 - A - An Arrow Fold Angel Card

 The first day of the annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, on Beccy's place is dedicated to the first letter of the alphabet: "A".

The inspirational words for this project are: Angel, accordion cards, a-frame cards, altered, aperture, A2, acetate, acrylic, alcohol ink, aqua, alabaster, almonds, apricots, apples, amethyst, antique, Arctic, animals, antlers

My choice for this project was an arrow fold card following Beecy`s tutorial, with an angel shape on the center of the card.

The card is the size of an A5 paper, so it can be easily put in to an envelope and send through the mail.

Felicitare - TC24(04-01)

Felicitarea de la prima temă a Transformărilor creative de aprilie s-a lasat cu greu conturată. 

Încă de la începutul lunii mi-am stabilit ca fundal pentru felicitare cartonul de la o cutie de bomboane Poiana Chokotoff. Mereu am fost fascinată de cutiile lor hexagonale și de cromatica din interior. Părea chiar simplu, dar...mi-a luat întreaga lună să găsesc o idee, ce anume să pun pe acel fundal colorat. 

Salvarea a venit de la o comandă pe Temu care mi-a adus printre altele și o matriță de tăiat forme de ou pentru aparatul de taiat și embosat achiziționat luna trecută.

Poza cu materia primă ... conține multe. Mi-am luat mai multe în speranța că va veni inspirația și se pare că a funcționat. În afara cartonului pentru fundal am mai folosit un carton alb pentri baza felicitării și un staniol auriu recuperat de la o ciocolată. Am uitat de poze în timpul lucrului. Ca să tai formele de ou, am pus carton roșu subțire acoperit cu staniol și le-am trecut împreună prin aparatul de tăiat.

Pine forest card - Beccy's challenge (3/24) - TC24(03-01)

 My choice for the March Challenge on Beccy's place was a kind of monochrome card, if you do not mind the coffee that I used to color the paper.

Because for my challenge where I used a page from an old math textbook, I also wanted to try this technique here too. 

I have printed the pine forest free digital stamp on one of those pages, and I decided to paint it with coffee, aiming for an aged paper. Then, with the use of a metal tool, I ripped around the edges and left it to dry overnight.

The next day, I glued the page on A frame black cardboard base. 

Pentru provocarea dela Beccy, am folosit aceeași culegere de matamatică pe care am sascrificat-o pentru felicitările de la Transformările Creative. Am printat pe o pagină una din imaginile oferite de Beccy, o pădure de pini, apoi am colorat-o folosind cafea. Cu o unealta metalică, am rupt marginile pentru a-i da un aspect de învechire. Apoi am lipit-o pe un carton negru.

Two easel „Happy Birthday” cards - Beccy's challenge (2/24)

 For this month's Beccy's place challenge we had to use the usual Beccy's digital stamp while the additional optional element is washi tape. The freebie from this month was the image of a present and I immediately decided that I will used for a birthday card that I need for the end of February.

Pentru provocarea acestei luni dela Beccy, trebuie să folosim ca de obicei o ștampilă digitală marca Beccy, iar ca element optional suplimentar washi tape. Stampila digitală gratuită din această lună este imaginea unui cadou, motiv pentru care am decis să o folosesc pentru o felicitare aniversară cde care voi avea nevoie la finalul lui Februarie.

I started printing the free image on different size, not knowing witch will be suitable form my project. I used a indigo sheet to transfer de image on white cardboard. The first attempt was not perfect, my hand was trembling so I made another one, that I colored with gold and purple markers. When I highlighted with black the outline of the image, I discovered that the black outline will easily hide my trembling in the first transferred image, so I also colored that piece. 

Îm început cu printarea imaginii gratuite în diferite mărimi, neștiind care va fi potrivită proiectului meu. Am folosit o foaie de indigo pentru a copia imagina pe un carton alb. Prima incercare nu a fost bună, mi-a cam tremurat mâna așa că am mai făcut una pe care am colorat-o cu marker auriu și  mov. Când am subliniat cu nergu conturul imaginii am realizată că markerul negru va ascunde linia tremurată din prima încercare, așa că am colorat-o și pe aceea.

The next step was to use the washi tape. Ever since I read of washi tape, I picture in my mind the herringbone card. I chose the color that I needed and I made two cardboard on top of witch I glued the cardboard with de image of the present.

Următorul pas a fost să folosesc Washi tape. Incă de când am citit cerința, m-am gândit imadiat la tehnica herringbone. Am ales culorile și am realizat două cartoane pe care am lipit imaginile cu cadoul.

For the base of the cards I used black cardboard cut in the shape of a easel card. I secure the open front cover with a „happy birthday” stamp note.

Pentru baza felicitării am folosit carton negru tăiat în forma unei fellicitări de tip easel (șevalet). Am folosit un carton stampilat pentru a putea ține deschisă felicitarea.

 

A look towards spring - Privind către primăvară - Beccy's challenge (1/24)

 This is my first entry to the monthly challenge on Beccy's place. In January, we had to use a Beccy's digital stamp and an additional optional element and this month it's all about flowers and plants.

Aceasta este prima mea participare la provocările lunare la Beccy. In ianuarie trebuie să facem o felicitare folosind o ștampilă digitală din magazinul lui Beccy și un element opțional, în această lună refertor la flori și plante.

My choice for this card is the freebie colored crocus flower stamp from this month's challenge. I printed the image four times in order to do a multilayered card (3D decoupage). In the end, I needed to use a  fifth printed image of the flowers. I cut out the pieces that I needed and stacked them together with foam double sided tape.

Am ales să folosesc stampila digitală colorată oferită gratuit în această lună. Am printat-o de patru ori pentru a realiza o felicitare 3D decoupage (în straturi). In final a fost nevoie de 5 astfel de imagini printate. Am tăiat piesele necesare și le-am lipit cu bandă dubluadezivă cu burete.

For the base of the card I used white cardboard cut in A - frame card, with a grid inspired from this tutorial.

Pentru baza felicitării am folosit carton alb, tăiat pentru o felicitare de tip A (A-frame card) cu un grilaj realizat după tutorialul acesta.

Day 1 - A - Angels

 For the first day of the Annual Month Holiday Challenge of  Beccy's place, the inspiration words are:

Finally, it was the time for me to do the card for the first day of this challenge. I choose to do an A- frame card decorated whit two beautiful angels.

I took the image of the angels from a 3D decoupage sheet an I cut out by hand every piece of the multi layered picture. I used double-sided foam tape to stick together the layers.  

Day 19 - Q - Quilling and quatro fold Card

  For the 19th day of the Annual Month Holiday Challenge of  Beccy's place, the inspiration words are:

quilt, quilted paper, quote, quilling, quill, quiet, quarter fold card, quatro fold, quartz

My choice for this card was really a challenge. I wanted to combine the quilling technique with the quatro fold card that I saw on Beccy's A-Z card folds. 

I started with the quilling pieces: a snowflake, a Christmas tree, an angel and a wreath. Then, I measured the pieces and I built the card base according to the measurements I made. (Closed, my card is 18x18 cm.) After that, I prepared the patterned paper for decorating. For the inside, I used only one patterned model for de the parts that are flipping, and a card drawn by hand for the center. The outside of the card is decorated with some marbled cardboard on top of which I glued the quilling pieces.

Day 18 - P - A poinsettia on a pyramid card

 For the 18th day of the Annual Month Holiday Challenge of  Beccy's place, the inspiration words are:

pudding, partridge, pears, presents, pine, pop-up cards, pyramid card, pocket card, pastels, purple, plum, paint, paper piecing, pleating, parchment, pearls, pencils, petals, photos, plaid

I was delighted to work on this card. The tutorial, of course, was on Beccy's site. To decorate the piramide card I used an 3D decoupage poinsettia and for "brooch" I chose another poinsettia, a push-press golden piece.

Day 17 - O - Over the edge card

 For the 17th day of the Annual Month Holiday Challenge of  Beccy's place, the inspiration words are:

ornaments, over the edge cards, oval cards, one layer, origami, outdoor, Our Lord, orange, ochre, onyx 

Letter O stays for "O mare problema" which in my language means "A big problem", and that is: I don't have a pre-cut machine to aid me in creating cards. Honestly, I didn't need it until today, when I struggled to cut the ovals. My first attempt was with scissors, and I discovered that my steady hand is not so steady anymore. I didn't even try to glue them.

The second attempt was with a cutter, but i still failed to cut it nicely. As it shows in the assembled piece below:

The saving solution was a very sharp pen that I usually use to score and fold. 

Anyway, I must write a letter to Santa, so that I might get the pre-cut machine I oh so want right now.

Day 16 - Non traditional colors

   The 3th non alphabet day of the Annual Month Holiday Challenge of Beccy's place, had a simple instruction:

Create a project using non-traditional colours.

For this project I made something simple: Just a colorful Christmas tree on black background:

For the first non alphabet day, Complementary color, I used a template to do the cutting. Today, I used the same template on a scratch art sheet to shape the Christmas tree. The next step was the easiest, I just glued said paper to a simple, white card.

Day 15 - M - A metallic matchbox card

  For the 15th day of the Annual Month Holiday Challenge of  Beccy's place, the inspiration words are:

mistletoe, mittens, mouse, manger, merry, Mary, matchbox card, magic window card, markers, masking, menorah, metal, microbeads, mixed media, mauve, magenta

Another theme that brings me something new : matchbox card. The tutorial is also on Beccy's place. 

For this card I used the same kit with 3D decoupage sheets. I chose a moose image holding a " Merry Christmas" sign. The base  of the card  is made of some metallic patterned sheets.

Day 14 - L - An altered lever fold card

   For the 14th day of the Annual Month Holiday Challenge of Beccy's place, the inspiration words are:

It seems that I can't manage to do a card every day, but I still hope that I will do all the cards for this challenge.

For the letter L theme, my option was a lever fold card with a multi-layered piece in the center of the card. Of course, the center-piece is from my 3D - decoupage kit.

I made a big mistake when I first cut de base of the card as I didn't pay attention to the folding part, so I had to readjust the placement of the card. It is not working too well, it isn't like in the Beccy's tutorial, however, I continued to make it this way.
